Class 7 – License to Carry (OFF-SITE)

Instructor: Tony
Description: State and federal laws on gun ownership and use of force, non-violent conflict resolution, post-incident legal and psychological issues, safe storage of guns in the home, use of restraint holsters for open carry, written and live-fire exams.

Required for this class:

  • All students must be 21 years old and up.
  • All students must arrive with a gun they are capable of using. (The Gun Rental Desk will be open: $10 to rent)
  • No training or assistance will be given…
  • Thus, they must already know how to safely load, operate, and clear their own guns and magazines.
  • Each student will need 50 rounds of factory new, ammunition. No reloaded ammunition.
  • I will supply the Official Size “B27” Target, approved by Texas DPS.
  • Hearing and Eye Protection is mandatory. 
  • Students can either purchase a new set during that same morning or borrow our sanitized public stock.
  • To pass the LTC Course, students must qualify on the range with at least a total score of 175.
  • The highest score achievable will be 250. The closer to the bullseye, the higher the point value.
  • The Classroom Portion ends with a final Test.
  • Students must score at least a 70% on the Test to pass.
  • At this point, I will issue the LTC-100 form to all students before they leave for the day.
  • This document is needed when all students apply on their own to the state of Texas for the LTC.

What To Bring:

  • A valid Driver’s License
  • A Gun the student knows how to safely load, operate, and clear.
  • 50 rounds of factory new ammunition
  • (optional to bring their own hearing and eye protection.)
  • Note taking gear (paper and pen)
  • Snacks for classroom time
