DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Tony the Instructor at RED’s Range \nClass Objective – The student will learn to:\n\nUnderstand the Texas License to Carry (LTC) qualification process.\nDemonstrate safe firearm handling and operation.\nComplete the required classroom instruction and written examination.\nSuccessfully complete the live-fire qualification using the Texas DPS-approved course of fire.\nReceive the LTC-100 certificate required to apply for a Texas License to Carry.\n\nCourse Information\n\nLocation: Red’s Indoor Range\n1908 W. Pecan Street\nPflugerville\, TX 78660\n(Approximately 3.4 miles from the host hotel.)\nCourse Type: Offsite Class\nCEUs: 8\nCost:\n\nTLA Members: $175.00\nNon-TLA Members: $275.00\n\n\n\nCourse Requirements\nStudents must: \n\nBe 21 years of age or older.\nBring a firearm they already know how to safely load\, operate\, and clear.\nBring 50 rounds of factory-new ammunition (no reloaded ammunition permitted).\nSuccessfully complete the classroom examination with a minimum score of 70%.\nSuccessfully complete the live-fire qualification with a minimum score of 175 out of 250.\n\nNo firearms instruction or coaching will be provided during the qualification. Students are expected to arrive proficient with the safe operation of their firearm. \nEquipment Provided\n\nTexas DPS-approved B-27 Qualification Target\nGun rentals available for $10.00 (if needed)\n\nSafety Requirements\n\nHearing and eye protection are mandatory.\nStudents may bring their own protective equipment or purchase/borrow equipment from Red’s Indoor Range.\n\nUpon Successful Completion\nStudents who successfully complete both the written examination and live-fire qualification will receive their LTC-100 Certificate\, which is required when applying for a Texas License to Carry through the State of Texas. \nWhat to Bring\n\nValid Driver’s License\nFirearm you are familiar with and can safely operate\n50 rounds of factory-new ammunition\nHearing protection (optional if you wish to use your own)\nEye protection (optional if you wish to use your own)\nPaper and pen for note taking\nSnacks for classroom breaks\n\nClass Size\nEnrollment is limited to 20 students. \nQuestions\nFor additional information\, contact Tony at: \ntonytheinstructor@yahoo.com
