Class Objective – The student will learn to:

  1. Understand the importance of ethical conduct within the locksmith profession.
  2. Recognize professional responsibilities when working with customers, businesses, and the public.
  3. Understand the role of honesty, integrity, and accountability in maintaining trust.
  4. Identify ethical challenges commonly encountered in the locksmith industry.
  5. Understand the importance of accurate documentation, responsible service practices, and professional decision-making.
  6. Apply ethical principles to daily locksmith operations and customer interactions.

Course Description

Professional ethics are the foundation of trust in the locksmith industry. This course provides an overview of the ethical responsibilities locksmiths face while serving customers, protecting property, and maintaining public confidence.

Students will discuss real-world situations involving professional conduct, customer relationships, business practices, and the responsibilities that come with working in a security-related profession. The course emphasizes the importance of integrity, accountability, and making decisions that protect both the customer and the reputation of the locksmith industry.
